Results of the first poll

Participation wasn't huge, but 50% of those who voted said they'd like to know why the Church teaches that contraception is wrong. We'll have a lengthier post about this in the near future, but in the meantime, you should take the time to read Humane Vitae (pronounce hyoo-mahn'-ay vee'-tay). This is the encyclical written by Pope Paul VI in 1968 explaining the dignity of the human person, and reaffirming the Church's constant teaching that contraception is immoral. If you print it out, it's only 16 pages, but it's a wealth of information.
